Cult movie Psycho will be on at the Guildhall as part of the Lichfield Festival movie screenings.
The 9.30pm showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic will give film fans the chance to relive one of cinema’s greatest moments.
Meanwhile in Lichfield Cathedral’s Lady Chapel, the late night series continues with a performance by James Rhodes at 9.30pm.
An evening of poetry will also take place in the Cathedral from 7pm when Carol Ann Duffy presents a Poem for the City, while the music of Bartholemw LaFollette performs at St Chad’s Church at noon.
There will be more musical performances when The Tippett Quartet play at Swinfen Hall Hotel at 3pm and Salsa Celtica’s fusion of Scottish, Irish and Latin American sounds will be at the Lichfield Garrick from 8pm.
Lichfield trumpeter Nick Dewhurst teams up with guitarist Doug McMillan at the George IV from 9.30pm, while local school students will be bringing music and movement through the streets of the city as part of their Orbital promenade performance.
A lecture – Two Centuries of Sound Recording – by former BBC senior sound producer Tony Wass takes place at the Lichfield Garrick at 10am, before a Dancing in the Streets workshop at the Guildhall, led by street dance artist Emma Pash, from 5pm.
