Young women are being invited to take part in a fitness class in Lichfield for just £1.

Lichfield District Council has launched a new Active Women’s Fitness Class on Monday afternoons at King Edward VI Leisure Centre.

Aimed at women aged 16 to 25 years of age, it offers them the chance to try different types of exercise, such as step, dance, aerobics, combat and conditioning.

Wendy Sweatman, Lichfield District Council’s Community Leisure Officer, said:

“The idea behind these classes is to help young women get active and make new friends. We hope lots of women come along to the sessions as they are a great way to find out what sort of exercise they might like and to get fit with the girls at the same time.”

The Active Women’s Fitness Class is taking place at 4pm on July 25, August 15 and 22, September 5, 12, 19 and 26.
