Cyclists take a break during the July ride to Whittington

This month’s Cycle Rides For All event will see riders head from Lichfield to Chasewater and back on August 7.

The trip will be 18 miles in total, with regular stops on the way. It follows the last ride to Whittington, which saw 23 people take part in July.

Jerry Trill, from Lichfield District Council, said:

“This will be a social cycle ride with plenty of time to enjoy the views. People of all ages and cycling abilities are welcome to take part, and this time we’ll be stopping at Chasewater Country Park for lunch, so remember to pack a picnic!”

The Cycle Rides for All take place on the first Sunday of every month until the final ride of the season on October 2. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Jerry added:

“If you want to join us on the Chasewater ride, just bring your bicycle, safety helmet, a picnic and yourself to Freedom Cycles in Lichfield at 10am on August 7. If you don’t have a bike, you can borrow one of four bikes that Staffordshire County Council has kindly loaned to us for the rides.”
