Parents are being invited to help their little ones don fairy costumes for a special event in Lichfield.

Beacon Park will play host to a fairy walk at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on August 28.

Before heading out to find fairies, young visitors will also be treated to a story about the park’s very own little-winged creatures.

Ruth Witczak, Lichfield District Council’s Community and Education Officer, said:

“Beacon Park is a perfect setting for a fairy walk. We’ll be telling a story about the park’s fairies and then leading a walk through the park to try to spot some fairies.”

The walk is aimed at children aged from three to 11 and all youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.

Each walk and talk, which lasts up to an hour, is free and there is no need to book. The walks will begin at the tennis courts in Beacon Park.
