Lichfield City FC’s youth side made it two wins from two games in their league campaign with a last gasp home win against Trysull.

The hosts spent the first half camped in the opposition half but could not create a clear cut chance. Josh Leaver had a couple of headers which went close but City failed to create the breakthrough their football deserved.

In the second half Lichfield finally took the lead when Fabian Facey burst through the defence and slotted the ball past the keeper.

But they were hit with a sucker punch when Trysull found the net to equalise.

It looked as though the spoils would be shared but with just a minute left on the clock Ryan Baker won the ball and drilled a pass to Josh Leaver who turned and fired the ball across to Bradley Hines. The Lichfield striker controlled well before firing past the keeper to secure all three points.

It was another deserved win for Lichfield, who saw the man of the match award go to left-back Jordan Chapman. Next up for the young City side is Darlaston Town away.
