An event in Lichfield is set to look at the impact of consumer culture on our environment.

Organised by Low Carbon Lichfield (LoCaL), The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute journey through subjects ranging from resource extraction to iPod incineration.

A spokesperson explained:

“This is a fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of production, consumption, and waste. It’ll teach you something. It’ll make you laugh. And it just may change the way you look at all your stuff.”

There will also be a shorter presentation on The Story of Bottled Water and a discussion on the issues raised.

The event takes place on September 15 at 7.30pm at the United Reformed Church, Wade Street, Lichfield, WS13 6HL. Admission is a uggested donation of £3 per person, to include light refreshments.
