The man British Transport Police want to speak to
Police are hoping Lichfield commuters can help trace a man they want to speak to after a bicycle was stolen from Birmingham New Street railway station. British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV images of the man wanted in connection with the theft which took place at the station’s cycle sheds between 9.45am and 6.45pm on July 14. PC Richard Bunn said the owner of the bike, a 34-year-old man, had left it secured with a coil lock but found the bike missing when he returned to collect it. He added:
“It is described as a specialist Sirrus hybrid model which is black with silver wheels. Enquiries, including viewing CCTV images from the station and surrounding area, are ongoing. I would now like to trace and speak to the man in this photograph in relation to this matter.”
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the man in this photograph, is asked to contact should contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference B7/WWA of 09/09/2011. Or call the independent charity, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
