Chasetown FC will be hoping to start another magical FA Cup run when they entertain Alvechurch. The Scholars have had a mixed start to the league season, but will be able to take their minds off that tomorrow (September 17). Charlie Blakemore’s have become famed for their FA Cup exploits in recent years, following historic runs in the competition and fixtures against the likes of Port Vale, Oldham Athletic and Cardiff City. But before they can even begin to dream of reaching the glamour stages of the competition they will need to dispose of Midland Football Alliance strugglers Alvechurch. They currently site one place off the bottom of the Alliance having picked up just two points from their opening seven games, conceding 15 goals and netting just four times. Kick-off for the FA Cup First Qualifying Round game at the Scholars Ground is 3pm.
