Youngsters at a nursery in Burntwood have been enjoying a teddy bear extravaganza.
Children at the Busy Bees Nursery at St Matthews were invited to bring their favourite teddies for the special event.
On arrival, all teddies received a passport before undergoing a security check through the special x-ray machine. The fluffy friends then took turns on the high wire and boat a bear rides run by the youngsters. Any children who forgot their teddies were able to make use of the ‘Adopt a Bear’ tent.
All proceeds from the day went to the Rainbow Trust, and the nursery was able to donate more than £240.
Nursery manager Caroline Cooper said: “Everyone had a lovely day, and lucky the sun shone throughout, so families were able to enjoy picnics in the nursery garden.
“We’re absolutely delighted that we were able to raise such a great amount for such a worthwhile cause.”
