Lichfield rider Gary Mason is hoping to push his new bike even further at Silverstone.
The MSS Colchester Kawasaki speedster has been running the 2012 Ninja ZX-10R bike as the team tests it out during the remainder of the British Superbikes season.
And having given it an outing at Donington Park in the last round of the championship, Mason has been in the saddle during testing at the Silverstone circuit ahead of this weekend’s meeting.
Despite not being on the same track layout as the race weekend, the city rider is hoping the hard work the team has put in will pay off.
“It was good to get out at Silverstone last week,” he explained. “You can concentrate on making changes and not be chasing lap times.
“The lads spent some time on the fuel mapping side to make it a bit more user friendly, so getting on and off the throttle was tamed. It was definitely less vicious and more progressive.
“I’m excited for this weekend to be honest, lets hope the weather stays dry and we can get some decent results given the spec of the bike.”
