Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s most senior female operational officer has taken up a new role.

Becci Bryant became the Director of Organisational Performance and will oversee the teams responsible for performance, quality assurance, partnership collaboration and the business transformation team, who are identifying new ways of working to achieve the £4million savings required in the service.
Chief Fire Officer Peter Dartford said: “Becci brings with her a wealth of experience and her previous roles in local areas means that she is in touch with local needs. An important part of her role will involve ensuring we continue to run an efficient and effective service in order to maintain our standing as one of the highest performing, lowest costing authorities in the country.”
Becci Bryant added: “I’m looking forward to this new role and the opportunity to help shape the organisation to meet the challenges ahead. There are a number of challenges, from local priorities to issues on a national level, however I’m confident that we can continue to provide an excellent service to the people of Staffordshire.”
Becci started her career as a firefighter at Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service in 1992 before moving to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service in 2002. She joined Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service in 2005.
