Police are appealing for witnesses after vandals targeted cars near Lichfield.

Between 9.30pm on October 2 and 6am on October 3, 17 vehicles had their tyres punctured in Armitage.

The attacks, which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage, happened in Rectory Lane, Upper Lodge Road and Rugeley Road.

Inspector Jed White, Lichfield Local Policing Team Commander, said: “This was a despicable crime which has left numerous victims devastated and out of pocket.

“Although we’re keeping an open mind, we believe that local people could be behind this – or know who is – and are urging anyone with information to contact us immediately.”
