Lichfield is set to welcome one of the UK’s brightest live music acts.
Sheffield-based Alvarez Kings will be on stage at the George IV on October 15.
The four-piece have received rave reviews following appearances at the SXSW festival in Texas and the Isle of Wight Festival and were described by NME as having “bucket loads of attitude with cut-throat guitar riffs and a gritty charm”.
And after winning over audiences in their native Yorkshire the band are now taking their sound to the rest of the country.
Frontman Simon Thompson admitted the band have been able to hone their live set.
“I’m really pleased with what we have,” he explained. “It means our live shows really up the ante.”
Their Lichfield gig will see support from Rhesus, who take to the stage at 9pm, before Alvarez Kings appear at 10pm.
