Former Chasetown FC midfielder Ben Jevons has admitted he’ll always have fond memories of his time at the club.

His stay at the Scholars Ground came to an end recently as he made the switch to near neighbours Hednesford Town.

He made his first appearance from the bench for the Pitmen in their 1-0 win against Bedworth United.

The goalscoring midfielder will be hoping to strike up a similar rapport with his new supporters after becoming a popular figure amongst the Chasetown faithful.

“The fans were awesome during my stay there,” he told LichfieldLive. “I would just like to thank them for there support.

“I always put a shift in for them because I thought that’s the minimum you can give back for the paying fans.

“I loved my time at Chasetown and have made some great friends and made some great memories, like me and Dave Egan having our picture taken on Whitby Pier before a game. We went on to win 1-0 and O still have the picture.

“I would like to say thanks to Chasetown for giving me the chance and wish them all the best for the season.”
