The Lichfield Garrick has unveiled the line-up for its new season.

Plays, comedians, tribute bands and dance are all on the schedule along with the return of cabaret-style shows in the studio.

The season, which runs from October to June, will include household names such as Sir Bob Geldof, Alistair McGowan, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Stefanie Powers, Jon Culshaw, Beverley Callard and Paddy Ashdown.

Adrian Jackson, the Lichfield Garrick’s executive and artistic director, said: “I’m delighted to launch our new season at the Lichfield Garrick.

“From drama and comedy, to live music and ballet, it’s packed with shows to entertain the whole family. We’re celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee next year with with Historical Cookery and Mayhem’s Diamond Jubilee Special and a sensational Jubilee Proms Concert at Lichfield Cathedral.”

The season plays host to a number of tribute acts, including 80s Mania, The Rat Pack is Back!, Cream of Clapton, The Winner Takes It All, UK Pink Floyd Experience, I Am Beyonce, The Counterfeit Stones, and Jackson – Live in Concert.

There are also shows for younger audiences, including The Ugly Duckling, Chris & Pui, There Was an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly, and the production of A Christmas Carol.

Lichfield Garrick will be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubliee on June 16 with a proms concert. The theatre has teamed up with Lichfield Cathedral to host an evening of coronation-themed anthems, including Zadok the Priest and I Was Glad.

The concert will take place at the Cathedral and will feature the Darwin Ensemble Chamber Orchestra and City Concert Orchestra.
