Ballet fans will be in for a pre-Christmas treat when the The Nutcracker comes to the Lichfield Garrick.
Dancers from the State Ballet Academy of Minsk are set to perform the traditional festive tale from November 17 to 19..
A spokesperson said: “Arguably the most popular and famous ballets of the international repertoire since its premiere in 1892, The Nutcracker has enthralled many generations during the pre-Christmas season.”
The ballet tells the story of Marie, a rather sad little girl, whose godfather gives her a nutcracker as a present on Christmas Eve. It turns into a prince who invites her on a journey to the Sugar Plum Fairy’s realm of sweets.
Tickets for the Lichfield Garrick performances start at £10 and can be booked online at www.lichfieldgarrick.com or by calling the box office on 01543 412121.
