Organisers of a fundraising Christmas fayre are celebrating after raising more than £800.

The Lichfield branch of Cats Protection held the event at the Guildhall to help cover their running costs.

And the work of volunteers paid off as the money was raised to pay for rising vet bills.

A spokesperson said: “Thanks to everyone who helped with the preparation for the day and the volunteers who were there on the day, the extras that we encouraged to come and help us and to everyone who came to support us and spend their money – we really appreciate all the effort, time and money that is donated.”
