Chasetown FC set to entertain Matlock Town

Chasetown FC will look to follow on from their midweek cup success when they entertain Matlock Town.

Chris Brindley’s men made it through to the semi-final of the Walsall Senior Cup with a penalties victory over Heath Hayes and will be keen to ensure there is no cup hangover when they return to league action tomorrow (January 14).

The Scholars will have young Caspar Hughes available following his loan move from Crewe Alexandra.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder made his debut in Chasetown’s defeat at Whitby Town last Saturday.

Matlock currently sit three points above the Scholars in mid-table after recording their first win of 2012 with a 3-0 home victory over Frickley Athletic last weekend.

However, they suffered a 1-0 reverse in a midweek cup clash against the same opponents.

Kick-off at the Scholars Ground is 3pm.
