The city’s annual Winter Beer and Wine Festival returns to the Guildhall on February 3 and 4.

Running from noon until 11pm each day, the event will feature more than 35 beers from regional and local breweries, along with a selection of continental ales, traditional ciders and wines.

There will also be musical entertainment, with blues-rock outfit Running Shoes taking to the stage on the Friday evening, followed by the celtic-fusion sounds of the Roving Crows on the Saturday night.

Lichfield Arts Director Chris Newcombe said: “The festival is one of the highlights of our winter/spring programme which is enjoyed by all members of the community but it also attracts visitors from all parts of the country.

“Once again the famous pork pies will be making an appearance!”

Entry is £1 before 5.30pm and £2.50 afterwards, although visitors are advised to book in advance. For more information and to purchase tickets ring the box office on 01543 262223 or visit www.lichfieldarts.org.uk.
