Love will be in the air at a craft event in Lichfield.

With the most romantic day of the year just around the corner, Lichfield District Council is giving local people the chance to make homemade gifts for their loved ones at the Discovery Hub on February 12, between 11am and 2pm.

On the day, park rangers will be helping lovebirds to make woven paper heart baskets and handmade cards ready for Valentine’s Day.

Councillor Val Richards, Lichfield District Council’s cabinet member for leisure services, said: “Whether you are part of a couple or looking for love, come to Beacon Park for some Valentine crafts.

“All ages are welcome, and there is no need to book, just drop in between 11am and 2pm and get creative.”

The craft session costs just £1 to make two heart baskets and one card. For more information, call Beacon Park rangers on 01543 308774, or email
