Cyclists heading for Fradley

Lichfield District Council, Freedom Cycles and Jigsaw launched this year’s programme of Cycle Rides for All with a 12-mile cycle ride to Fradley Junction and back again.

Appropriate for all ages and abilities, the next outing in the series is a 9-mile ride to Whittington on May 6.

“We attract cyclists of all ages – from toddlers through to senior citizens – because it’s social, healthy, and a great way to see the countryside,” said Debby Whiting from Freedom Cycles. “We also have a great team of trained cycle leaders who make sure everyone feels safe.”

To join the rides, just bring your bicycle, safety helmet, a picnic and yourself to Freedom Cycles in Lichfield at 10am on the first Sunday of the month. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information contact Freedom Cycles on 01543 411633 or Jigsaw on 01543 253666.

The free rides scheduled are

  • May 6 to Whittington – 9 miles
  • June 3 to the National Memorial Arboretum – 18 miles
  • July 1 to Chasewater – 18 miles
  • September 2  to Barton Marina – 23 miles
