“Our professional Production Director, Mark Fitzgerald, is the Artistic Director for Questors and we are pleased he has invited some the members to perform one of our plays.”

Since its foundation in 1929, The Questors has had a reputation for achieving the highest standards of any amateur theatre in the world, both in the quality and the professionalism of its productions.

Last year, Questors was selected by the Royal Shakespeare Company as one of ten regional partners for its Open Stages project.

Mark Fitzgerald said: “Questors Theatre company are proud to be part of the Lichfield Mysteries. It will be great opportunity for our actors to meet the wonderful people I have been lucky enough to work with this last six months.

“We have been incredibly busy rehearsing The Nativity. The last one I was involved in was when I was nine-years-old and I played a tree! So I feel very qualified to take it on.”

As the Artistic Director of Questors, Mark is responsible for the programming of over twenty full productions a year.

Lichfield Mysteries take place over the May Day bank holiday, Sunday and Monday May 6 & 7, on Market Square, Lichfield and in the Cathedral.
