Cyclists take a break during the Whittington ride

More than 20 riders joined the nine-mile Cycle Rides For All trip to Whittington and back again.

“We trialled a new route at the weekend and it went really well,” said Debby Whiting from Freedom Cycles. “Our team of trained cycle leaders made sure everyone felt safe.

“We attracted cyclists of all ages – from toddlers through to senior citizens, and it was a really social and healthy day out in the countryside.”

Appropriate for all ages and abilities, the next outing in the series is an 18 mile round-trip to the National Memorial Arboretum on June 3.

To join the rides, just bring your bicycle, safety helmet, a picnic and yourself to Freedom Cycles in Lichfield at 10am. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
