A new support group for adults with learning disabilities and carers has opened in Lichfield.
Friends2Friends will offer a range of advice for people based at Cruck House in the city.
A spokesperson said: “We aim to offer guidance relating to reading and understanding official letters and support people to respond where necessary. We will also offer support for people to pursue leisure opportunities, such as booking tickets and enable them to access existing local amenities, sport centres and activities.
“There will also be support with training and work advice and developing links with other agencies.”
The new group are opening the Cruck Cafe which will operate during the Friends2Friends sessions.
“We hope to provide activities based on both learning and socialising and, so far, we have a new photography/scrapbooking group starting every Monday where customers will take their own photographs, print them and form their own personilised scrapbook,” the spokesperson added. “On Wednesdays we aim to hold an exercise class which will include gentle exercise and relaxation techniques.”

- Saturday 10am-2pm
- Sunday 10am-2pm
