A Lichfield group has been finding out about the region’s very own mega-mover company.

Sandy White and Richie Mason from Hixon-based ALE gave a talk to Lichfield Science and Engineering Society about the work the company carry out in moving giant loads.

The business originally saw the company delivering large transformers from Rugeley but has developed into a world-wide group which designed a 5,000 tonne crane used in petro-chemical projects in the Middle East.

The company also stored and transported large sections of the Greater Gabbard wind farm.
