Lichfield’s Pathway Project has been given The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

The honour for the group – which supports victims of domestic abuse – is the MBE for volunteering organisations who work in communities for the benefit of others.

To mark the accolade, the Pathway Project will receive a certificate signed by The Queen and an exclusive commemorative crystal, presented by the Lord-Lieutenant Ian Dudson CBE who is Her Majesty’s representative in Staffordshire.

The group has also received an invitation for representatives to attend one of the Royal Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace this year.
