Paddy Ashdown’s colourful career will be up for discussion at an evening in Lichfield with the former leader of the Liberal Democrat Party.
As well as his life in politics, Lord Ashdown will also be talking about his life in the armed forces at the Garrick theatre on June 13.
After service as a Royal Marine and as an intelligence officer for the UK security services, he was MP for Yeovil from 1983 to 2001, and leader of the Liberal Democrats from 1988 until 1999. He later became the international High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
