Summer celebration coming to Mile Oak

Organisers will be hoping the sun shines as summer is celebrated at an event in Mile Oak.

Live music and dance will be on offer at Mile Oak Recreation Ground from 10.15am to 4pm on Saturday (June 16).

There will also be an inflatable obstacle course, under fives play trailer, puppet shows, face painting, a football tournament and a prize draw, as well as workshops and a performance by Rombi and DJ Gifford Music.

Councillor Colin Greatorex said: “It’s always great to come together as a community, so we hope lots of Mile Oak and Fazeley folk will enjoy this year’s Summer Celebration.

“As always, the event is only possible thanks to all the agencies and groups that have volunteered their time and energy to make it a brilliant day.”

Entrance is 50p but free for under fives. All the proceeds from the day will benefit local causes. To find out more, call Lucie Ferneyhough on 01543 308218 or email
