A Lichfield accountancy firm has helped two publicans secure the purchase of a traditional village pub in North Staffordshire.

Paul Bulzacchelli of Inspired Accountants advised and assisted Phil Boden from Burntwood and Paul Treadwell from Chorley in gaining the finance to purchase the Cock Inn in Woodseaves.
“We needed a 40 per cent deposit and with the banks not lending as freely as they once were, we decided to speak to Inspired Accountants to see if there were any alternative methods of financing the purchase.
“Fortunately for us Paul Bulzacchelli was able to advise us of an alternative and highly tax-effective way of purchasing the pub,” Paul said.
The pub opened in May after a renovation scheme.
Phil added: “We initially decided to bid for the Cock Inn due to the potential we saw and the opportunity to add value to the business.
“Our vision for the pub is centered on being a traditional pub with authentic fixtures, stocking a range of quality beers, wines and spirits, and having a community feel where people can play such games as darts and dominos. You won’t find televisions or fruit machines here, but we are planning to hold regular entertainment nights where we’ll have a singer, run darts and dominos competitions and put on barbeques.”
