A Lichfield school has earned a share of a £110,000 Olympic legacy funding pot.
Nether Stowe School is one of three school in Staffordshire to win the money to help improve sporting facilities.
The Lichfield school will spend the money refurbishing changing facilities and creating a reception and viewing area at the swimming pool and gymnasium.
Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant said: “This is great news for Nether Stowe School and wonderful news for North Lichfield who will be able to make use of this much-needed facility for years to come.
“The Olympics will last for just three weeks, but this will be the long-lasting legacy from the Games. I am absolutely delighted!”
