Lichfield District Council is running daily playschemes at Burntwood, Longdon, Whittington, Shenstone and Fradley for children aged five to 11, while play activity weeks are on offer for seven to 13-year-olds.

Among the activities still available are the Wet ‘n’ Wild week running at Beacon Park from August 13 to 17 and the art week and skateboarding sessions at King Edward VI Leisure Centre.

Leisure centres in Lichfield and Burntwood are also hosting a wide range of activities, such as sport, art and swimming.

Councillor Val Richards said: “With more than 70 holiday clubs and sporty courses at our leisure centres and parks, and our playschemes and play activity weeks, there is plenty to keep children and young people entertained this holiday.

“The summer holidays are fast approaching, so make sure you book your child up for a summer of fun!”
