Renowned guitarist Roy Sainsbury is coming to Lichfield.
He will perform a wide range of music, including jazz, film themes, Latin American and Beatles tunes in an intimate evening gig at the Flamingo Tea Room on August 23.
A spokesperson said: “This talented guitarist has been chosen by presenters Michael Parkinson and Humphrey Littleton to be featured on their BBC Radio 2 programmes and has played alongside contemporary musical greats such as Scott Hamilton, Tommy Whittle, Bruce Adams and Martin Taylor.
“On August 23, music lovers will be able to hear Roy’s sublime music, played on his 1937 Gibson guitar – an experience not to be missed.”
Tickets must be booked in advance from the Flamingo, and are priced at £18.50. The ticket price includes a three course dinner and diners are welcome to bring their own drinks. The evening starts at 8pm.
The venue also holds Jazz Brunches every Sunday and acoustic sessions each Saturday, alongside vinyl nights each month. For more information, visit www.theflamingolichfield.wordpress.com, call 01543 255588, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call in at 29 Tamworth Street.
