A Burntwood shop is being converted into a flat. The site at 3 Rugeley Road had previously been a pet shop, card shop and window and doors outlets. But it will now be turned into a home after planners gave the go-ahead for the proposals. A statement to planning chiefs said: “No use has been long term and there have been problems with parking of customer cars outside the premises. “The owner has therefore decided to stop the shop use and convert the ground floor to a two-bedroom flat.” Full details of the proposals can be seen on the Lichfield District Council planning website.
