A Lichfield park is set to come alive with fairies at a walk for children.

Youngsters are invited to go along to Beacon Park in fancy dress on August 19 to hear stories of fairies before a walk to try to find some evidence of the little winged creatures.
Ruth Witczak, Lichfield District Council’s community and education officer, said: “Beacon Park is the perfect setting for a fairy walk.”
The Beacon Park Fairy Walks are aimed at young people aged from three to eleven. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The walk and talk lasts up to an hour and costs £1 per child. There is no need to book, just come to the tennis courts in Beacon Park on August 19 at 11am (for under 5s) and 1pm (for over 5s).
