Local chef Simon Smith will also be unveiling two margarine sculptures and a bird of paradise melon sculpture that he is creating for the Lichfield Food Festival.

“I’m finishing off my first sculpture of two impala deer, and then I will get started on the eagle, which is a block of margarine at the moment so I’ve got plenty to do,” he said. “These kinds of sculptures are rarely seen outside London, so the Food Studio will be a good chance to take a look at them, while browsing the food stalls.

“It’s really exciting to get so many quality food producers together in Lichfield, so make sure you come and take a look.”

Helen Westwood, of Lichfield’s Sugar Surgeons, will be displaying celebratory cakes and Scott O’Hara will be presenting masterpieces sculpted out of sugar.

For those with a sweet tooth, there will also be plenty on offer with stalls by the Ultimate Fudge Outlet, Coco Meli Cakes & Pastries, Hindleys Bakers, Mrs Stevens Cakes and The Little Round Cake Company.
