Parents in Lichfield and Burntwood are being urged to apply online for secondary school places.
The majority of families received their offers by email last year and Staffordshire County Council are keen for more to use the digital application process this time round.
County Councillor Ian Parry said: “Over the years we have really refined our online application process. Each year we have seen an increase in the amount of applications made online and this year we would like to see even more.
“Getting their preferred school is really important to parents, and the county council has an excellent track record in meeting people’s requirements as much as possible.
“A lot of work goes into organising the process and because of this, applications need to be in by October 31.”
Parents who use the online system will find out their outcome of their applications on the national offer day by email rather than waiting for a traditional postal response.
