New website to help Lichfield and Burntwood residents manage their finances

Lichfield and Burntwood residents are being given a helping hand to focus on their financies after the launch of a new website.

The Manage Your Money portal has been developed by Lichfield District Strategic Partnership to help local people to both avoid getting into debt and to work their way out of it.

Councillor Ian Pritchard said: “Most people will have some form of debt – such as a credit card debt, a loan or a mortgage. But, if you are having problems paying your household bills, you should get help as soon as possible.

“This website is a good place to start as it will point you in the direction of support you can trust so you make the right choices along the way.”

The Manage Your Money online resource contains advice on debt management solutions, easy to understand financial advice, as well as information on benefits.

Julie Walker, Head of Neighbourhoods for Bromford Living, added: “Being in debt can feel very lonely, especially if you haven’t told anyone about your problems, or started to deal with it.

“However, you are not alone. There are lots of agencies that can help you. Find out how to access this help by visiting the Manage Your Money website.”

The website also contains links to websites, telephone help lines and information resources.
