Lichfield Cathedral will host candlelit Advent services across the weekend.

Beginning at 6pm on Saturday (December 1) and Sunday, the services will include a procession, bible readings and carols sung by the Cathedral Choir.

The Very Rev’d Adrian Dorber, the Dean of Lichfield, said: “Advent marks the beginning of the Church’s year. It is a time of hope and expectation when we long to see God’s will done on earth and his reign come to bear on human living.

“We voice that hope through beauty, candlelight, timeless chant and movement, we welcome everyone who is on journey of search and spiritual discovery to join us for Advent.”
