Police are searching for two men who tried to force their way into a Lichfield house on Boxing Day.
The pair attempted to prise open the patio doors of the semi-detached home on Birmingham Road at around 8.55pm.
They were disturbed and ran off empty-handed. Shortly afterwards, a dark-coloured car, possibly a BMW or Audi, was seen speeding off along the Birmingham Road, away from the city centre towards Wall Island.
The offenders both wore dark clothes and balaclavas.
