More than 900 runners braved the elements to compete in this year’s Florette Fradley 10k race.
Charnwood Athletic Club’s Tom Whitmore came out on top as flurries of snow and biting winds saw a tense finish.
Coventry Godiva’s Richard Burman bagged second place, while Harvey Mequire took third. Catherine Ansell was firstin the women’s race.
Kevin Wilson, of organiser KP Events, said: “We had been on weather watch since Saturday afternoon but thankfully were able to press ahead as normal.
“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part and to those who came along to support on the day, despite the terrible weather. It was great to see so many people there and we look forward to seeing even more next year, when hopefully, it will be a bit more spring like.”
