Drivers in Lichfield can get their vehicles washed and raise money for charity at an event in the city. Firefighters will be taking part in a charity car wash event on Saturday (March 16) from 10am until 4pm at the city’s fire station on Birmingham Road. They will be using their hoses to wash cars in a bid to raise as much money as they can for The Fire Fighters Charity. People will be asked to make a donation as they exit. Angie Leigh from The Fire Fighters Charity said: “Not only can members of the public get their car washed and do their bit for charity, they will also be able to request their free Home Fire Risk Check to ensure they are as safe from fire as possible in their homes.”
