In-form Chasetown FC ready to welcome high-flying King’s Lynn Town

Chasetown FC’s race towards the play-off positions will be in for another stern test as they welcome King’s Lynn town.

The visitors moved into second place in the Evo Stik South after Craig Harris’ Scholars toppled Stamford on Saturday.

The result means Chasetown lie in seventh place, just one point adrift of Halesowen Town above them with a game in hand. Fifth spot is currently occupied by Sutton Coldfield Town who head the Scholars by seven points, but have played two games more.

Regardless of the permutations, Harris will know that extending their impressive league form will be crucial if they are to gatecrash the play-off places. They have won their last five league games to drag themselves up the table. But, as with Stamford, King’s Lynn will provide a tough test of their credentials.

The Linnets have not been beaten for 12 games, with their latest victory coming over Leek Town at the weekend.

Kick-off for the crucial game at The Scholars Ground tonight (March 19) is at 7.45pm.
