A new online tool is helping parents in Lichfield and Burntwood find out if their children are entitled to free school meals.
Staffordshire County Council has produced the web application to give families an instant answer.
It is hoped that the streamlined service will remove the need for manual checks by staff on each of the 11,200 applications for free meals received each year.
Parents can also apply for multiple children at the same time using the online tool
