Dog owners from across Lichfield and Burntwood are being urged to go walkies to raise money for charity.
Acorns Children’s Hospice, which supports children with life-limiting conditions, is holding the event in Sutton Park on April 28 – and they are being invited to join Moose the Labrador from Lichfield for the event.

Moose will be wearing his superhero costume to fit this year’s theme. Although wearing your underpants outside your trousers in true Superman style is optional, a number of owners and their pooches have already taken up the challenge!
Philippa Gay, from Acorns, said: “We’re really excited to see so many dogs in training for the event. It’s a great day for dogs and dog lovers to raise money to help their local community.
“We rely on fundraising for the majority of our income and all the money raised will go directly toward caring for children in the area, coping with life limiting conditions. Please join Moose and sign up for this fun event today.”
The event costs just £5 to enter and participants can choose a 3km or 6km walk, with every dog awarded an Acorns’ rosette for taking part. Participants are encouraged to raise as much money as possible.
Dogs and their owners can enter online at www.acorns.org.uk/dogwalk, or by calling 0844 984 0405.
