People are being urged to take a stroll in memory of their loved ones.
The Bluebell Wood at Yoxall Lodge near Lichfield will host a celebration walk on behalf of St Giles Hospice on Sunday (May 12) from 2pm.
The two mile walk forms part of the Whittington-based charity’s Celebrate Lives Lived initiative costs £10 for adults and £2.50 for children.
Helen Relihan, from St Giles Hospice, said: “Celebrate Lives Lived is a wonderful, uplifting occasion when local people can come together in shared celebration of the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us.
“Whether they live in the St Giles catchment area or not, we hope as many people as possible will join us and help us raise money to fund our life-changing care for people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.”
The charity is also creating a Sunflower Garden of Remembrance, where people will be able to remember loved ones by personalising a peg in exchange for a donation.
