Volunteers at Christian Fields
Nettle slashing will be among the tasks being carried out when Lichfield District Council’s Countryside and Parks Conservation Group meet at Christian Fields on June 3. The clear-up is designed to give young saplings a chance to grow in the newly-planted woodland. Volunteers will also be opening up overgrown footpaths and clearing litter at the site between 10.30am to 3pm. The group will meet at Christian Field’s top car park, with all tools and materials provided. Volunteers must be over 18 years of age. To book your place on this event or to find out more about joining the Countryside and Parks Conservation Group, call 01543 308183 or email denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk.
