The soldier killed in the street in Woolwich will have his name added to the Armed Forces Memorial near Lichfield, it has been confirmed.

Drummer Lee Rigby died after being attacked outside his barracks last week.

Military chiefs have now decided he will join the list of more than 16,000 servicemen and women who are remembered at the National Memorial Arboretum.

The tribute is usually reserved for soldiers killed on active duty, but the 25-year-old’s name will be added after he died in the terrorist incident on the streets of the capital.

“after he died in the terrorist incident on the streets of the capital.”

It is a shame another name has to be added to the Memorial at Alrewas but we know too well it is because of the actions of some of our politician’s that terrorists are active on our streets today, these politicians who were in favour of going to war are responsible not Joe public, but we have to carry the can, we didn’t have a say in it.
