Fiona Gillespie and Pauline Hinsley accepted the cheque on behalf of the South Staffordshire branch of CRUSE Bereavement Care.

The charity offers support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies.

The confidential and free service provided by the South Staffordshire branch is due to 49 trained volunteers who in supported 125 people in 2012.

“This generous donation will allow our branch to purchase books and train more of our volunteers in the support of children who have sadly been bereaved,” Fiona explained. “The ladies have worked hard to raise this money and we are extremely pleased that they have chosen to support our charity.”

Lichfield Ladies Circle is a friendly group of women between 18 and 45 who want to have fun, socialise, make new friendships and fundraise. They meet twice monthly to have fun nights out, try out new activities and in the process raise money for local charities. For more information visit www.lichfieldladiescircle.co.uk.
