City food fans will be in for a treat as the Great Lichfield Bake Off comes to town.

The event is being organised as part of the Lichfield Festival’s Vintage Tea Party event on July 13.

Budding bakers and experienced cake-makers are being invited to show off their creations.

Entry is free and the competition will see two age groups and a primary school category battling it out for the overall crown.

The winning cake will be recreated at Hindleys with all profits going to charity.

The Vintage Tea Party takes place in Cathedral Close from 1pm to 4pm and features live entertainment, stalls and family fun inspired by the 1930s.
