Evesham United midfielder Leigh Downing is a target for Chasetown FC.
But the Scholars are likely to face competition from the likes of Rushall Olympic for his signature.
Downing – who also lists the likes of Bromsgrove Rovers, Stourport Swifts and Tipton Town among his former clubs – will be in demand after carving out a name for himself as a goalscoring midfielder.
And he is due to meet with The Scholars this week to discuss a possible move.
Manager Craig Harris is still finalising his squad for the new season, although long-serving full-back Mark Branch has already confirmed his departure.
